Katie enjoys helping StylePHX solve key puzzles, organize systems, and strategize with the team to move the vision and mission forward. She also does a little bit of everything on the back end to help operations move smoothly. Though she resides in Grand Rapids, MI her roots are Phoenix, and her love of the city and state run deep.
The Long:
Katie graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a minor in English Literature. She continued her education at Northern Arizona University where she earned a Masters of Arts in Education with a focus on Human Relations. She is passionate about leadership and professional development, and her career has spanned many sectors from non-profits, to the food industry, a dabble in the world of hair, large event planning, and in various roles in higher education administration. In each position she finds herself building small communities, developing leadership programs, and organizing systems from a global perspective. Her background provides a fun and rich guide as she serves in her official role as “A Lotta Bit of Everything” (i.e. VP) of StylePHX.
At any given time she can be found holding a paintbrush or stitchers floss, at a restaurant taking insta worthy food photos, or mindlessly organizing the gum in the checkout aisle. Though she resides in Ann Arbor, MI her roots are Phoenix, and her love of the city and state run deep.
Katie has spent time volunteering at local food banks, the Ronald McDonald House, and the humane society. She is often bringing crafters together to create and build community. Additionally, she volunteers on committees that help to bring diversity, equity and inclusion education to the workplace.
